Lauren Nicolle, SS19 Trends

I know sometimes its hard to keep up on the trends for the year. It feels like you just caught on to a trend right at and then a new one starts. SO, I thought I’d give y’all a guide to both on-going and new fashion trends that I know are going to be very popular this spring and summer!

If you’ve ever wondered, fashion week runway shows help us (people in the fashion industry) to predict a lot of the upcoming season trends based on what designers have in their collections and at the shows! And, according to the shows so far, we are going to continue (or start) to see a lot of pastels like lavender, tie dye print, 80s statement shoulders/sleeves, 90s hair accessories, bucket hats, print mixing pieces, polka dots and more for spring and summer fashion trends 2019!

Get ready for an exciting season of throwback trends and unique lewks!

Pastels – Lavender in Particular

Truly never though I would say this but, I am LOVING this trend. Such a pretty color, especially for spring and summer! You will definitely be seeing me in a lot of lavender and pastels this summer!

Tie Dye

Actually really loving that tie dye is back! So many fun ways to wear this – whether you want something bold or not so loud, the color options are endless and v fun.

80s Statement Shoulders

This one has been around since earlier in the year and I am loving it! The bold sleeves are the perfect way to make pieces extra girly. I have been finding myself pairing a cute statement shoulder mini dress with combat boots or dad sneakers for a fun & cute, yet more casual look!

90s Hair Clips + Scrunchies

A MUST! Being a 90s baby, you know I’m super excited for this one 🤪. I’ve stocked up on all of the hair clips, as I’m sure you have seen, even treated myself to some good ol’ butterfly clips – And, I have to say, these hair clips are werking amazingly with my new short hairs (peep the gram if you haven’t seen my hair transformation).

Bucket Hats

Bucket hats remind me of Britney Spears, always. I always get excited for new hat trends to switch it up! I think this is a perfect option for a new take on casual hats to complete your fashion forward athleisure looks!

Print Clashing – Mixed Patterns

Do y’all remember ‘clash day’ back in middle school or high school? Well this trend definitely reminds me of it, ha! I wasn’t sure how I would feel about this but there are some pretty cute mixed pattern pieces out there! See below some cute ones I’ve found so far:

Polka Dots

“Back in the day” it seemed like everyone avoided polka dots at all costs- but now they’re back and more cute than ever before! Really loving the small hearts/dot pattern I’ve been seeing a lot lately 💗.

Which trend are y’all loving the most?!

-xx Lauren
